| Fluorine Refigerants (also known as synthetic refrigerants) are a wide group of products more commonly known as CFCs, HCFCs, HFCs and HFOs. CFCs were introduced in the early 20th century, and quickly became established as the leading refrigerant solution. CFCs were thermodynamically efficient, and effective across a wide range of applications & operating temperatures.
However environmental concerns relating to ozone depletion and global warming has lead to legislative control and the development of new generations of fluorine based products, known as HCFCs, HFCs and HFOs.
The Linde Group does not manufacture fluorine based refrigerants, and instead buys in bulk from a number of leading chemical companies and operates many bulk break and filling facilities around the world.
Today, Linde Group companies stock an extremely wide range of HCFC and HFC products, and are able to help you make the choice on the best solution to meet the needs of your customer, and comply with local legislation and environmental concerns. |
