| - an innovative gas application for paper production from recycled fiber
The CODIP® Process Improver is a carbon dioxide (CO2 ) application which has been developed primarily for newsprint production, using deinked pulp as raw material. The application is developed and patented by Linde together with the cooperation partner UPM-Kymmene. It was launched at the end of 1998 and is presently in use at a number of large paper mills.
The CODIP® Process Improver interacts with components present in the system to stabilise process fluctuation due to the raw material, the bleaching method, the paper chemical additives, etc
Examples of benefits are:
- Increased paper machine runnability
- Increased DIP yield as a form of calcium carbonate
- Stabilized pH profile
